By booking a place on our tour, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and Terms.

Code of Conduct and Terms for London Stories: Landmarks and Legends Tours

By booking a place on any of our tours, you agree to adhere to the following Code of Conduct and Terms to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

  1. Punctuality: Arrive on time for both departure and return. The tour will leave promptly as scheduled.
  2. Respect: Show respect for your fellow participants, tour guides, and anyone you encounter during the tour. This includes listening attentively, following instructions, and being considerate of others' space and comfort.
  3. Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the tour guides. Stay with the group at all times and do not wander off.
  4. Behaviour: Maintain appropriate behavior throughout the tour. This includes refraining from disruptive actions, inappropriate language, and any form of bullying or harassment.
  5. Environment: Respect the environment and public spaces. Do not litter, damage property, or engage in activities that could harm the surroundings.
  6. Preparedness: Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and walking. Bring a packed lunch and any other necessary personal items.
  7. Belongings: Keep track of your personal belongings. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  8. Health: Inform the tour guides of any medical conditions or allergies that may require special attention.
  9. Additional Costs: Be aware of additional entry fees, such as for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for participants over the age of 16.
  10. Group Size: Tours require a minimum of 4 participants to run. If fewer than 4 people have booked, we will either refund your booking or try to move you onto a different tour. The maximum group size is 8. If more than 8 people book, we will operate a waiting list.
  11. Cancellations: Cancellations will not be refunded unless the place can be filled by someone on the waiting list. In such cases, 50% of the cost will be refunded.

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in being asked to leave the tour without a refund. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

The cost of the tour is £50 per student. Please note that transportation is to be arranged by parents, and the cost does not include travel or food. Students will need an Off-Peak Day Travelcard for the London Underground.

You can book and pay securely online. Please remember our cancellation policy: cancellations will not be refunded unless the place can be filled by someone on the waiting list. In such cases, 50% of the cost will be refunded.

Once you have booked and paid, we will email the following forms which must be completed and returned electronically at least 24 hours before the tour departs:

  1. Registration and Medical Information Form
  2. Parental Consent and Liability Waiver Form
  3. Photo/Video Release and Travel Information Form (optional)

London Stories: Landmarks and Legends Tours


Explore the vibrant heart of London with our exciting tours designed for students aged 11 – 16. Maximum group size of 8.

Departing from Ely Train Station, our tours will leave at around 9am and arriving back in Ely around 5pm. Parents must ensure that their children have purchased train tickets in advance. All tours will include travel on the London Underground, so an Off-Peak Day Travelcard is recommended.

Students must wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather, and bring a nut-free packed lunch. The price covers the tour only and does not include travel or food. Please note that for Tour 3, there will be an additional entry fee for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for participants over the age of 16; those under 16 can enter for free.

The train journey will be accompanied by Allison Puranik, director and owner of Ely Classrooms. Allison is a former teacher with extensive experience in leading school trips, ensuring a safe and well-organised adventure. Both Allison and our tour guide, John Byrne, have enhanced DBS clearance. All tours are fully risk assessed and insured, providing peace of mind for parents and an enjoyable experience for students.

Tour 1: Westminster and Surroundings – Thursday 1 August

Discover the historic and cultural treasures of Westminster, including Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St. James’s Park, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus. John will share fascinating stories behind each landmark, making this tour both fun and enlightening.

Tour 2: Southbank and Beyond – Thursday 8 August

Experience the dynamic spirit of London’s Southbank, featuring Shakespeare’s Globe, the Millennium Bridge (of Harry Potter fame) , St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern, The Clink Prison, and the Golden Hinde. John’s engaging stories will bring each location to life, ensuring a memorable experience.

Tour 3: Royal Academy and Hyde Park – Thursday 15 August

Dive into the vibrant world of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, where art comes alive with our engaging guide, John Byrne. Explore Hyde Park, known for its rock concerts and legendary Speaker’s Corner, before heading to the historic Royal Albert Hall. This tour blends art, culture, and the dynamic atmosphere of London for an unforgettable day out.
