Support for Schools
Alternative Provision, SEND and EHCP Students
At Ely Classrooms, we support Alternative Provision (AP) students, particularly those with SEND needs and EHCPs.
By working closely with schools, we provide a nurturing and effective environment where students can overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
Alongside academic teaching delivered by subject specialists, we offer therapy, academic mentoring, and enrichment activities. These tailored programmes can lead to outcomes such as reintegration into mainstream or special schools, hybrid learning models combining Ely Classrooms with school-based education, or completing GCSEs or other qualifications with us.
Who We Support
We cater to students aged 11-18 (KS3 and KS4) who are:
- Struggling to engage with mainstream education.
- Excluded or at risk of exclusion.
- Coping with physical or mental health conditions.
- Facing challenging personal circumstances.
- Diagnosed with SEND, including ASD or ADHD, subject to risk assessment.
- Holding or awaiting an EHCP.
Academic and Therapeutic Integration
Our innovative approach blends academic teaching with therapeutic support to address both educational and personal development needs. Students benefit from:
- Core Academic Subjects: Maths, English (Language and Literature), and Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) with other subjects available by request.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Emotional support and mentoring led by qualified professionals, helping students overcome barriers to learning and improve self-confidence.
- Enrichment: including Art, Drama, nature walks
- Personalised Educational Plans: Created in consultation with schools, students, and parents, these plans track progress and adapt to individual needs.
