Ely Classrooms
Alternative Provision in Haddenham, Cambridgeshire
Ely Classrooms provides personalised education for young people who are unable to access, or fully engage with, mainstream school.
We offer a calm, small-scale learning environment, with teaching in very small groups and 1:1 where needed. Each pupil follows an individual timetable built around their educational needs, interests and longer-term goals.
Education and support
Our provision combines a strong academic focus with practical and creative learning and specialist support.
Pupils can work towards recognised qualifications including GCSEs, Functional Skills, Project Qualifications and LAMDA. Alongside academic subjects, the curriculum can include art, drama, music, cooking, gardening, sport and hair and beauty.
Wellbeing support is integrated into the provision, with access to counselling and a low-sensory breakout space for pupils who need time away from teaching or other activity.

Ely Classrooms is expanding
We are adding a second building at 5 Station Road, across the road from our existing premises.
The additional building will provide more teaching and activity space and allow us to expand our Alternative Provision while retaining the small-group approach on which Ely Classrooms is based.
During the 2026–27 academic year, we also plan to apply to register Ely Classrooms as an independent special school. Until registration is complete, Ely Classrooms remains an Alternative Provision.
